We’ve traveled to be with family this weekend. We had to go west of Dallas. With the Ebola situation our daughters really didn’t think we should go through the city. Of course we know that sound reason says that we’re safe but they’re fearful for us. I think the entire nation is holding its breath to see what is going to happen. Along with other things our country never thought they’d see you could say we are living in perilous times. What do we do? Where do we go? How can we be safe? Do we hold up somewhere or become hermits? While the times are perilous that is for sure, we still have life to live and people to love. Life is still going on. Oh beloved! There is a place of safety. It is found in the presence of the Lord. His hand of blessing is with us. Does this mean you are never going to face hard situations? No. But it does mean God will be with you all the way. He will guide you with His wisdom and now is a good time to develop understanding of His will and His ways. He will speak to your heart and show you things of His kingdom to help you. He has great riches for all His children and promises to watch over you wherever you may go. You are His beloved. His destiny for you is secure. Even if you walk through adversity danger or trials you have nothing to fear. You never go alone or have to make decisions based on human reasoning. The gospel is the good news! It is YOUR good news. Hold onto gods unchanging and eternal nature and let Him keep you calm and at peace. His delight is in those who know His Name because they will trust in Him. God loves you and he’s for you. Run to His word this morning and find your peace, your purpose, and His plans for you. Nowhere is there such a place of safety than in the Presence of your Lord. Don’t spend another moment wondering what will happen for your future is secure and your Savior will be with you all the way. Jesus is calling you to know Him and live in the Power of His resurrection no matter what. Don’t face this day and all its seen and unseen problems until you spend time with the One who loves you most. Psalm 18:31 For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God. Psalm 62:7 on God my salvation and my glory rest: the Rock of my strength my refuge is in God. Psalm 23: 4 Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for You are with me. Jeremiah 16:21 Therefore I will teach them-- this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is the LORD. Isaiah 43:11 I, yes I, am the LORD, and there is no other Savior.
