What Catholics Really Believe With the Catholic faith increasingly being challenged in the “current cultural-political landscape” Catholics are encouraged to know and to defend their faith. Cardinal Sean O’Malley encourages Catholics to “embrace the missionary spirit of the early Church”. Upon This Rock Scripture Study (UTRSS) has begun registration for its fall session the apologetics program What Catholics Really Believe by Dr. Ray Guarendi with Rev. Kevin Fete. This is a 13 episode program that includes the Ecclesiastically approved book, What Catholics Really Believe, which is a complete transcript of the program’s entire DVD edited for print. Study questions and a comprehensive answer guide are included. The program quotes extensively from Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and writings from the Early Church Fathers. the program is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and will continue each Wednesday for 13 weeks (not including Thanksgiving week) and end on December 3, 2014. All sessions will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Murray Hall, Woolmarket Rd, Biloxi on Wednesdays from 9-11 AM. The total fee is $25.00 for 13 weeks.
