What I am listening to now…Nov 23 A late November Sunday evening feels like a perfect time to listen to Eva Cassidys haunting version of Autumn Leaves. But anytime, really, is a perfect time to listen to any of her beautifully heartfelt covers of the American songbook. Cassidy, sadly died in 1996 at the age of 33, shortly after this video was taken. It was recently restored, giving us one of the few glimpses of this extraordinary, shy performer who left he stage forever much too soon. Her entire discography was released two years after her death, beginning with SONGBIRD in 1998 (which includes Autumn Leaves). If youve never heard her sing, pick up any of her albums and you will fall in love with her immediately.
