What I find really worrying is that this deal is being negotiated BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. What kind of democracy is that ? But if you think this is only a problem in England because we are protecting our NHS .... We are a devolved nation which means any legislation passed in Scotland is subordinate to that passed in Westminster. Foreign policy is therefore above any and all powers in Scotland because it is dealt with at Westminster and not Scotland. So simply put – if the Westminster government makes a decision about foreign policy and writes that into law then the Scottish devolved matters would be tied to that legislation. If there is a conflict between the two then the legislation in Scotland needs to be re-written to come into line with that legislation at Westminster.
