What I was talking about in my book is that most of us have this - TopicsExpress

What I was talking about in my book is that most of us have this need for certainty, again that’s a fear. When we have this need for certainty and it comes to things even like our health, our work or the economy, this need for certainty is actually a form of control. With this need for certainty we actually limit our experiences to only what we can imagine to be so. We say that this is what we want, I need this to feel secure and we limit our experience to what we need it to be. If we can let go of this need for certainty and we can get comfortable with living in ambiguity and living in this state of not needing to know, not needing to control, not needing things to be a certain way we will actually realize that we can experience a lot more gifts, a lot more synchronicities, and we can even watch a life unfold before us that can be even greater than what we imagined. I actually believe that we as human beings are capable of being and doing things much, much greater than we give ourselves credit for. Most of us suffer from low self-esteem. We are capable of much more and we limit ourselves and because of our lack of self-esteem we then need certainty and then we control things. We control them to bring them to a place that we feel comfortable with in our lack of self-esteem. But if we were told from the time we were young, if were told and believed that we are capable of greater things and we were more able to get into this place of trust. Trusting in the Universe, trusting in the gifts of the Universe what we would find is that actually the life that unfolds before us would be much greater than the one that we create. ~ Anita Moorjani, excerpt from the Buddha at the Gas Pump interview youtu.be/vmuOXgr5UZw
