What I would give to have forum based music editing forum -Like soundcloud, yet more ability for many to be involved. The Postal Service compose one of their early albums sending stems back and forth long distance over email... something of this nature, yet way more advanced now that we are able. It would be open to anyone to watch the stem grow, yet only allow certain members to contribute (Set at the beginning) to the creation process of the song. Allow everyone to comment on the process and see what happens. Designate the amount of stems for the project before its done... kinda like rounds in a call of duty game online - first team to create a song with 10stems - 50 stems depending on the options chosen for the round. To take this even further, get a project with 5 contributing members against another 5 with same instruments and let the observers judge at the end which is better... Then start a whole new round with new members. Get it to where it is Genre based even. So many possibilities I already know a few people I personally would invite to be involved in some online sessions with recording equipment to be involved! ;) If anyone finds anything like this one day ya better let me in on it, im down to play.
