What I wrote to Faroe Islands... please send them a little message of your own, teaching kindness is a good weekend activity ;) Brothers & Sisters, With love for all, for you and yours today and for future generations, I implore you to discover that humanity is awakening to Love, and that this is at odds with your culture and traditions. It is painful to face, because our traditions are part of our sense of home, and our sense of family, and identity. So courage and love are asked of you - and through the discomfort, I hope you can see them, and the coming changes as blessings. What I say next is a jagged pill to swallow, but I am inviting you to join us, and be welcomed into our arms during this great time of human awakening. Increasingly, the beautiful Faroe Islands will be known as a place of ignorance, brutality, barbarism, cruelty and cowardice. Everywhere in the world, cruelty to animals and their recreational or ritual slaughter is being brought to light and given up. Are you interested in tourism? The ONLY reason I know that your beautiful islands exist is because of the slaughter of pilot whales. And the feeling my friends and I have when we think of Faroe is anguish, sorrow, horror and revulsion... Cetaceans have human sophistcation, emotion and families. When they are butchered they mourn the loss of their children and parents. This is the reality of zoological research that I am sharing with you. Im sorry the news I have for you is so unpleasant. But we believe in you. Please join humanitys awakening love, and start a discussion and a movement for change. Then you can welcome us to your islands, so you can share your gifts and hospitality, and we can share our childrens smiles and vacation dollars with you in joy. When you make the change, we can change too... instead of Foroe being famous for showing the worst that humanity has to offer, we can make you famous and proud for showing the BEST that humanity has to offer, and shower you with recognition for your bravery, wisdom, and love!
