What a beautiful fall day it has been today...morning showers and thunderstorms dropped over an inch of rain across a good portion of the Austin Metro Area with many locations in the western and northern Hill Country picking up between 2-3 inches. All in all today was good news. Temps will hang around in the 60s under a cloudy sky tonight...a few very light sprinkles are possible...southerly winds return tomorrow ahead of our next cold front and upper level storm system on Monday. Highs will rebound into the upper 70s and lower 80s across the area with increasing moisture levels on Sunday. Our next cold front is set to arrive Monday morning with a fast-moving line of thunderstorms...some, especially east of I-35 may be severe with strong, damaging winds being the main threat. Cool and windy on Monday behind front with highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s area wide Monday night.
