What a crazy day in St.Andrews!! Played The Old Course after waiting in queue from 5:45am to 10:50 am. Ended up playing with a member of St. Andrews Golf Club who is an astronomer for The Smithsonian in US. He invited me and our playing partners Peter and Lena (married couple from Zurich in their 70s who can still play some - her better than him) into The Club after the round...it overlooks (read- is basically on top of) 18th green of The Old Course. You cant make this stuff up!!!! And as an aside, I mostly keep my concentration for 18 holes and shoot 1 over (73) with a regretful bogey on #17 (Road Hole) missing an easy 6 footer for par. That is a fine way to spend a day - Cheers mate!
