What a day. Was going to sleep in and go in at my scheduled time of 10 AM. Assistant calls me at 6 AM because he forgot his keys. I let him in remotely and rtell him where to find spare set of work keys. I just settle back into sleep when I get emails saying no heat I in one of the classroom buildings. Try calling assistant but he cant hear phone cause he is saying the lots with the ranger. Throw sleeping dogs in cage pull on clothes and head up to work. Boiler is as cold as a witches fit in a brass bra. Call in service and in less than 2 hours have the boiler Gerry rigged since a part is going bad. It could run for an hour or a year. Rooms heat up I head home to let dogs out and clean up. Get back up to work a short time later to find boiler is again cold. Part totally failed. Cant fix part not available local. Ran to Home Depot to buy 12 space heaters to try to warm up the room enough for school tomorrow. Bought the safest space heaters there are set them up in the classrooms set them on the thermostat and cross my fingers for the best. Check temperature rooms warming up will check again tonight at 11 before bed and at 5 a.m. To see if rooms held heat so we can decide if we have school tomorrow or not. Teachers tried bribing me with cookies to not put space heaters in room so they would not have school all in good fun.
