What a day this has been to say the least! Had to have Joy Whitten to the airport (Bush International) to leave at 8:40 we get there at 7, but no one told US the gate had changed from A to B so we get on the tram to gate B and when we get there the woman informs us that it is too late to check the baggage. But we will not charge you to change to flight leaving at 1:05. OK we do this, Joy is checked in we head out since we have 5 hours we run back to Rosenburg where Howard Whitten is staying. We leave at 11 and head to the airport, we are about 45 min out. Get to the airport and as we head to the door this man says to Howard you might want to stick around, security is backed up about an hour. Joy works her way to the front of the line by telling people her flight time, finally gets thru security, gets to the gate at 10 min of, the clerk says oh the plane already left, it left 10 min. early. Go back to the ticket counter, finally get a lady that books us, again at no charge thru to Cleveland then to Louisville. said that it has been crazy today. 4th busiest airport in the US and the 2nd busiest day of the year!!! Guess I am totally frustrated that we did not know about the gate change, and why only 3 security lines on the 2nd busiest day of the year??? Sorry Kathlene Ashcraft for all the issues, but I feel it was not OUR fault. Glad that Joy is finally almost home!!
