What a day we had on Saturday! We started off with a visit to Lowes and other stores to get flowers and supplies for planting today. Headed down to McNellies for the Pub Run. Dolores and I poured 500 Guinness drafts for the thirsty runners. This is the 3rd annual Pub Run where the runners drink 3 beers while running 4 miles. A beautiful pic of the tables loaded with all those lovely brown brews seems to have been lost in the never, never land of computerland. We finished up downtown and headed to the 7th son of the 7th swine pig roast. The pig, Carl, offered himself up and we dove in. Chefs Tony Tielli and birthday boy Nick worked really hard to make this a wonderful event. Did I mention BEER? There was Roughtail Brewing Companys fine brews, an assortment of home brews and bottles from all over the country. Some highlights were a 15 year old Barleywine and Matt Conners excellent jug of homebrew. We werent done yet. One of our absolute favorites was here in town at The Blue Door, Terri Hendrix with her back up, Lloyd Maines. We got there just in time to catch Terris set. What a joy. This lady has such a voice range and musical talent that it is always a treat. She sang some new material and some old favorites. She sang my favorite If I had a Daughter. Reminds me of my daughter and the hope we instilled some of the values mentioned in this song. The drive home was all smiles. Got everything on the list accomplished and had a great time. I attached the youTube video of Terris song. https://youtube/watch?v=jgVeDyAGCdY
