What a difference a year makes. The photo on the left was me in July 2013 at one of my first 5k runs. The right is me this past weekend. I took pics this weekend and posted them without a second thought. The texts and messages that I received afterward were truly heartwarming. I thank all of you for lifting me up and giving me the smile that I am now wearing. I decided to post these pics so that I have another level of accountability...to show everyone (and myself) that I am not done yet. Thank you all for giving me this confidence. I have struggled with my weight for a long time...I have gone way up, hit plateaus, and gone way down...then back up. I decided that I was tired of riding this roller coaster. I have found a new passion in health and fitness and I am NOT LOOKING BACK! Still have a ways to go, but I am more committed and more inspired than I have ever been in the past.
