What a great Spark. Love David I am so glad that I found this web site. What a great history David that you have shared. Kindness is certainly an approach that is greatly overlooked. I live in a small town in Indiana. Yesterday my grand daughter age 13, and I were out on our Gator, tooling around with a bag of carrots and apples to feed horses that we saw along the way. What we did not know was how that was going to change our lives. As we approached this open field, we saw 4 horses. Upon looking closer, we saw how neglected they were. We began feeding them carrots and apples. A woman pulled up in a car. I immediately asked her if it was alright for us to feed them. She told me that no one feeds them, but the owner will not surrender them. She explained that she was feeding them this summer, but is closing up her house for the winter and going back to Illinois. She further went on to say that she had been praying for someone to come along with a heart that she could pass the torch to. I quickly explained that I knew nothing about horses. She told me to do what I could and pray for the next person to come. She left, and I was speechless. What was I going to do? We went to Save-A-Lot and bought all the carrot and bags of apples that were left. As we left the horses my grand daughter said, Grandma, God put us here for a reason. We have to help. What now, I thought? Today, I called the feed store in town. He quickly educated me on how much horses eat. He sold hay for $8.00 a bale, telling me that I would need at least 10 bales a week. When I told him my story, he said, Wait a minute. He came back to the phone and told me to take down this number of his supplier who sells to him. He told me that he didnt want to profit from this. I called the supplier, who is giving me the hay for $4.00 a bale! And he is delivering it! What a spark! Please pray that I am able to find these people that own them and convince them to surrender them to a rescue center. This spark was enough to keep me trying. Just wanted to share what a difference a spark can make
