What a great article! I have many clients ask me why I dont give ALL photos taken. First off, who wants 300+ photos to sort through to only pick your 10 favorite and only print 6 of those? The sorting and sifting is my job! Second, photography is art. Art is displayed. As the artist I want only the best of the best displayed in your home, office, and social media. I take my time sifting through the photos - getting rid of the eye blinks, hair flipping, nose itching, and mouth open shots. I then go through them again and pick the best of the shots remaining. After that, I do it again and pick the best of the best. You hired me because you trust in me and like my work. Trust me in picking the best images to give you. :) Third, I just dont think its professional to give ALL photos shot for a family shoot, kid shoot, newborn shoot, etc. We have things that we have to do on our end - quick adjustments as the sun comes in and out of the clouds. Believe it or not - not every single photo we take is perfect. We could only wish they were! So please - trust me when I only provide X amount of images to you. They have been picked with care (and some OCD tendencies) for you. Thank you all for trusting me.
