What a horrible night, but thank God, it could have been worse. - TopicsExpress

What a horrible night, but thank God, it could have been worse. Mat and I sat on the screen porch watching the rain, when all the sudden the wind got bad and then twisted stuff and sucked our huge willow up out of the ground. By the time we got to the back of the house the damage had been done. It blew the trampoine up in the air and smashed it. I blew the old chicken trailer up in the air and it came down on the smaller coop, which tipped over on the Mamma and baby coop. Poor Shanika was crushed and dead along with one of the babies. It was horrible trying to get under the rubble and catch the other chicks to save them. We kept getting blown all over. Those poor babies were wet and terrified. The seven survivors are in Sechers tub. Our neighbor lost his barn roof. It is very sad but it could have been worse. I am glad my family is ok and our home is in one piece. I just hate the fact I will have to tell Setcher, but I am also thankfull he was in Massena when it happened.
