What a night! Let me just start this long post off with a rundown of some of the tougher things Jansen has gone through in his 4 months of life: a stressful birth, countless x-rays and echoes, different levels of oxygen, numerous blood tests, swallow studies, heart failure, open heart surgery, blood transfusion, g button surgery, breathing treatments and therapy, too many IVs to count, and appointments every week we have been home. He honestly went through the vast majority of this without making a peep. He is the TOUGHEST little guy ever. Tonight I decided to give him a real bath (I always do sponge bath), and evidently the world was coming to an end. He screamed and cried at the top of his lungs. Really Jansen?? Youve gone through MUCH WORSE. We couldnt help but laugh at the dramatics. Then after that fiasco and I got him calmed down, it was time for bed. I did my normal routine but when I hooked him up to his monitors, one decided it wasnt going to work. The one that I really rely on of course. So after trying different things (because I think Im much smarter than I am), it still does not work. So I call my medical equipment company and talk to 3 different people. They have no clue what Im talking about. They dont know what a pulse-ox monitor is even though they are the very people who provided me with it. Crazy. So they are trying to figure something out and then they will get back to me. This is going to be a loooong night.
