Val started boxing for fitness, then he seriously started training under the guiding hand of his trainer and manager Mark Grech. He first entered the Amateur boxing ranks in 2008 and represented Australia in New Caledonia and India in 2011. Val has had a very positive start to his professional Career Winning the Australian Title in his 5th professional fight and an IBO Asian Pacific Title in his 6th. In Val’s 7th fight he fought extremely tough KO artist named Joebert Delos Reyes from the Philippines for the Vacant IBO Junior World Title. This was Valentines first professional loss by R5KO.
