What a terrific time of fellowship and Bible study tonight. Thank you to those of you who could attend. I want to remind you that Sunday is an important day in the life of Lighthouse Church. We will be having a Lighthouse meeting following the service this Sunday, May 18 at Scheels Arena. The purpose of the meeting will be to establish Lighthouse membership. Church membership is a level of commitment to the church that allows you to participate in governance and large congregational decisions. It also shows your commitment to the mission of the church. If you would like to be a charter member of Lighthouse we invite you to attend. We will also discuss a board of directors and other future items. The meeting should be quite brief. Church membership has generally been defined as: 1. Someone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. 2. Someone who communes/attends regularly. 3. Someone who contributes to the church financially. 4. Someone who is involved in the ministry. 5. Someone who believes in the vision and mission of the church. If you wish to be a charter member but cannot be here this Sunday, please let me know. If you currently have a membership in another church and join Lighthouse we will send a request of transfer for your membership. If you prefer you may also contact them yourself. I want to be clear that you do not need to be a member to participate in our ministry. Everyone is welcome! This Sunday I will also update you as to where we are in our discussions regarding our Sunday morning location and a building possibility. Finally, there will be a Lighthouse mens breakfast this Saturday at the Iron Skillet Restaurant in the Petro Service Stop on 45th Ave and I94. Men, you are welcome. Feel free to invited others!
