What a week. Sometimes life is a rollercoaster.... not the throw your hands in the air and get the thrill of your life kind, but more of the lets throw everything in your face at one time- and see if you sink or swim kind. Yesterday, I was reading a devotion to the boys about where we find our significance-- sometimes in our appearance, in our accomplishments, and in our relationships and how others view us. I was overwhelmed for a moment with regret of how much effort I have spent in my life, striving to be good enough and to be something noteworthy. I was reminded the only place I can really find rest from any of it, is in the loving arms of my God. To Him, I am enough AS IS. In Him, I dont stop reaching for greatness, but it is no longer a feeble attempt to find acceptance. Instead it is a response to Gods calling.... that which I was created for, the life He has envisioned for me.
