What a week this has been. Weve celebrated some really major milestones including Esthers 2nd birthday, an incredible sanctuary fundraising campaign, and now just a few days after Canada Day, its Independence Day so we want to wish our American friends, near and far, a happy Fourth of July weekend. Up here in Esther land were working on distributing perks for the fundraising campaign, selecting dates for special events like Esthers belated birthday party, and pre-opening work days at the farm. We move on November 6th and were already counting days. Its going to be a crazy few months and time will surely fly having us on the farm before we know it so get your rubber boots ready, we cant wait to have you all over. We also need to do a few things before we move. We want to start collecting postcards from all of you to help us show sanctuary visitors just how big the scale of this project is. We had thousands of contributors from all over the world and we want to create a mural wall with your postcards at the visitors centre. It will serve as a constant reminder that Esthers sanctuary is built by a worldwide community, and invaluable support network from all corners of our amazing planet. L7G 5X7 Our charity application has entered the final stages of approval with the CRA so we hope to have that back soon although being typical government paperwork, it may take a few weeks but we will keep you posted every step of the way. Until then any donations received through our website will go to the sanctuary purchase fund as do any profits from the Esther store We have a ton of work to do in November so every dollar collected helps us move along our site improvement plans that much quicker. If you havent seen them yet, pop by the Esther store on our website and check out the amazing new bamboo/organic cotton shirt and tank designs. Plus sizes and childrens sizes coming very soon. Finally, we will be launching a sanctuary naming contest very soon. Weve been keeping an eye out for suggestions and have written quite a few down. We want to hear your ideas too so put on your thinking cap, get creative and lets come up with name as unique and special as Esther herself.
