What a wonderful Spark! Love David A2J Thank you so much for posting all of the inspirational stories. It is getting closer to the holidays, which is a tough time for anyone who has lost someone they love. I want to share a story of my own. December 15th will be the 10th anniversary of the death of my children s father. He was an Army soldier and had been serving our country for 16 years. He had been to war 3 times and died in a vehicle accident 10 days before Christmas. This tragedy turned our world upside down. My boys were 3 and 6 at the time. They were devastated and confused since their little minds could not understand the idea of death and daddy was gone . They wanted to speak to him one more time. I explained to them while fighting back the tears and searching for any strength I had left that Daddy lived in Heaven now and could be with them any time and hear any time they wanted to talk to him. It broke my heart when they cried and said the Heaven was too far . I told them I would bring them to a place that was as close to Heaven as possible. We live in Louisiana and I wanted to bring them to the top of a beautiful mountain. We traveled 6 hours to Morrilton, Arkansas to a mountain called Petit Jean. We sat at the highest point of that mountain in the clouds and spoke to their dad. It was the most saddest , yet most beautiful moment of my life. We hugged and cried, but it seemed to ease their pain. Every year, we travel back to that mountain and sat at the highest point and tell their daddy everything that has been going on in our lives. It eases the pain a little more each time. I know in my heart that he waits for us on that mountain top and smiles as he watches his little boys grow into men. So, if anyone is ever in the area, go visit that beautiful mountain and you will definitely feel like you are a little closer to Heaven.
