What a wonderful and full of emotions four days that i had. Starting on Saturday with offically recieving my new service dog caliber on Fox News. Then walking my first 5k with caliber then on Monday i recieved a generous donation from Cow Harbor Warriors on behalf of Paws of War to help make caliber happen and lastely an interview on good day on fox news. It was a great four days and i would like to thank my Beautiful fiance Julie for being by my side during these last four days and with the process of getting caliber. I know shes been waking you up early lol but thank you for being supportive. Last but not least i would like to thank the following people who helped me get caliber. (not in any particular order) Robert Rescue Misseri, Dori Scofield thank you for rescuing caliber from down south and bringing her to me. Also thank you for all the work and continous work that you guys do to help rescue dogs and to helping my fellow veterans. We can never thank you enough. To calibers Aunt and trainer Lauren Macchia Driscoll thank you for training and nursing her back to good health. You do amazing work and i feel so more confident that i will be able to take caliber and give her the best life she deserves. What you do for my fellow veterans with training service dogs to get them ready to get a new home with a veteran to giving a friendly talk if needed at any time of the night. You have a heart of gold even though u do like to bust chops hehe. To Jerry Driscoll thank you for what you do also for all our veterans. Thank you for your service. To Joanne Contegiacomo thank you for picking her up and bringing her back to Long Island. Myself and the rest of the veterans who have recieved dogs and will recieve them in the future cant do this without your help. Please go to guardiansofrescue.org/banners-view/paws-of-war-32413/ to read alittle more about the program and please donate even if its a dollar. This organzation is soley done on volunteers and donations. 22 veterans a day killing themself is to much. so please #helpavetsaveapet #helpingbothendsoftheleash.
