What a wonderful day! We spent about 2.5 glorious hours with her at the hospital. She looks great! She was feeling the pain when we got there, but was due for some pain meds. After she got them she started to really perk up. We talked quite a bit and that seems to be the best therapy as far as her speech goes. By the time we had to leave her words were very clear. The leg will be a bit more difficult, but that will come around too. She was able to eat (drink) while we were there and did a great job. A little slow, but very expected. Itll get back to normal as the healing continues. Im going home tomorrow and had prayed that I could have some time with her before I left and that prayer was granted. Im able to leave knowing that she IS doing well and was able see it myself. My dear husband has always said that I am a visual person and he is so right. Andres is eager to be able to get her back to their house and is thinking that might be probable on Thursday or Friday, though he was really hoping it would be Wednesday. That would be a real miracle, but hey, you never know. ;) I cant express enough, how thankful we are for all the prayers, words, and thoughts for her. You are simply amazing friends. In about a month & a half they will all be back home in Texas ready for their next adventure. Tim & I are soooo ready to have them home. Blessings to all.
