What a wonderful day we had at the exhibition today. We were a party of 10 from Falmouth District School and I can speak only for my group but I hope the sentiments are shared all the way around by all schools. The chaperones and kids all agreed it was a wonderful day. We participated in: 1) The Fishing exhibit with Darren Porter (Fantastic speaker with a lot of information and he knows how to talk to kids and keep them interested). 2) The Plant Art Relay (we all learned a lot here too about what is grown locally and what part of the plants we eat. 3) The Robots...What can I say, a great place to have lunch and be entertained at the same time. Free chocolate milk and a chance to do the limbo with robots and get some candy..every childs dream lunch hour 4) The antique engines (very knowledgeable gentleman with lots of stories, props and demonstrations to keep the kids interested. 5) And the 4H Petting Zoo where the children and chaperones had a great time learning about the animals presented and what it takes to care for them. The 4Hs were very helpful, relaxed, and knowledgeable. This is what the exhibition should be about. Kudos to all organizers and volunteers alike. I hope this can be done every year. Fantastic day all around! Thanks to everyone involved.
