What a wonderful surprise this morning. Dee has no place to go - TopicsExpress

What a wonderful surprise this morning. Dee has no place to go today!!! She finished radiation yesterday and rang their bell, sorry the video of the ringing ceremony did not record so there will be no facebook encores but the important thing is that it is over. The surprise is I am going to drive in to work instead of take the bus and train. Yesterday the morning bus broke down on the way to Camden and they had to bring out a replacement bus from the garage. Luckily we broke down in front of a Dunkin Donuts, so many people went in to get coffee and donuts that the owner sent the bus driver out a free cup of coffee. 65 year old kidneys do not like coffee while riding the bus and train that has no facilities to work so I passed. In the evening my Brooklawn express bus was roughly, within 15 minutes is good, on time but the bus before it broke down in Philadelphia so we had the riders of two buses comfortably squished onto one. In addition to missing the joy of public transportation i I got to talk to Dee, have a healthy bowl of cereal, feed the critters, pay a bill or two, organize some things in my filing system, etc., before I leave for Trenton. Parents will appreciate that the same child who cannot hear you screaming to come to dinner or bring your laundry from one room away can pick up a whisper through a closed door from the other end of the house when you are talking about something you want to discuss with just your spouse. Between 5 and 6 AM little ears are not so finely tuned and you can discuss things freely and without danger of being picked up by any child. Not so at 3 AM or earlier since they are usually still awake at that time from the day before. The wisdom of the parent can sometimes prevail.
