What an amazing day November 2, 2014 was--and while it was far from a PR for me, I will consider it truly an experience of a lifetime!! Could I have skipped MCM to focus on NY--absolutely! BUT then I would have have missed seeing my friends from CA, PA and VA and cheering for and with them. Could I have skipped dinner Sunday night after MCM with dear friends? But then I would have missed laughs and good conversation. Could I have stayed off my feet last week instead of walking DC? Sure I could but then I would have missed the opportunity of meeting my new friend Muriel! Could I have quickly visited the expo and not see Bart Yasso? Yep, but then I would missed the opportunity to thank a man who inspired me to take on The NYC MARATHON! Could I have stayed in Friday morning and not stand in the cold? Yep, but then I would have missed meeting Hoda and seeing a fun show. Could I have stayed in Saturday morning and skip the run and meet and greet with Ryan and Sara Hall? But then I would have missed his amazing talk about the need to wake up being thankful for being able to get up every morning to run and take on life. Could I have skipped walking to Times Square to meet a dear friend from Houston who was also running NYC? But then I wouldnt have had the opportunity to catch up with her and give hugs! Could I have skipped the dinner with new running pals less than 24 hours before the race? Once again, yes, but then I would have missed meeting a new pal from Houston who told me. its NEVER about the race, its ALL about the experience. The past 10 days were not about the race--it was all ABOUT THE MEMORIES AND EXPERIENCE!!! I will never forget this amazing experience with my friends!! The race was just a short break in an amazing week!!! Remember life is not about a single event but about the experiences we live every day!!! HAPPY MONDAY--GO EMBRACE YOUR JOY!!!
