What an amazing introduction! "In the real world racial inequality was often openly aimed towards darker skinned people by those who felt they were more superior. The result of this racial inequality was hate, fear, distrust and abuse between the two races. This negatively impacted the society, and meant these two races could not comfortably occupy the same space. It lead to anger, violence and death. However in the novel Noughts and Crosses we see that the author Malorie Blackman has reversed the situation. The white people (Noughts) have become the target of racial inequality by the black (Cross) ruling class. This creates a reversal of reality to show the idea that racial inequality not only caused negative impact on society regardless of who is the oppressor.
