What an interesting day! I got to work and was thinking it was a bit windy, but the temp was really mild. No biggie. I got in the school van and started out on my normal morning drive over to the back side of lake Sutherland. As I drove across Piedmont Rd, I did notice that there were a lot of branches and such, but nothing too major. When I got down to the flat part of the road, past Log Cabin, there was a tree across the road that had a power line in it. Obviously I backed up and got turned around to head back to the school. I got almost back to Log Cabin, when there was now a new tree in the road. This one also had a line with it. :( I ended up having to get a hold of my boss, who got a hold of PUD to come remove them from the road. It didnt take them too long to get there, but I wasnt a fan of sitting there in the van in the dark with the wind gusts like that! Only 1 limb came down on the top of the van while I waited, but I really hope that tomorrow morning isnt as bad as it sounds like it might be...
