What an odd turn of events. So, after a night with my friends out at Adams Morgan in DC, I decided to leave early to get some rest, right? Nope. I got on the wrong train and went to the completely wrong exit. Meanwhile, a very drunk Washington Capitals fan was pissed about the 4-3 loss to the Canucks and shattered a part of the glass inside the train and left. Like, ugh.... what the heck really? Then, another man walks in. Hes clearly baked and just going off on tangents about random bullarkey. There is a Chinese girl across the aisle that was laughing at my responses to the baked dude. Well, I assumed she was Chinese. I was right! So, I started speaking Chinese. Her first response was, How did you know I was Chinese? I reply, Oh, you just seemed like Chinese to me. We get into a conversation about life in DC and what we do for a living. It turns out, she works for CCTV in DC, which is an English-Chinese based TV station. We exchanged contact information and yada yada. I am happy to announce that I am also in line to receive an internship with CCTV, either as an anchor, or perhaps an international news correspondent. If you mess up, dont get down on yourselves, guys! You never know where things will lead you. Heck, you might even meet a nice Chinese girl in the process like I did. Thank you all for the amazing support! Well, that was quite the train ride to nowhere and back. Time to sleep!
