What can fear do? Fear will hold us back and encourage us to procrastinate. Fear destroys ambition, so we settle for being a mediocre Christian or settle for something less than God’s best! Fear kills love and breeds on jealousy and suspicion! Fear fosters the habit of faultfinding and criticizing other people behind their backs. Fear will handicap our potential to be all that God ordained for us to be! It will prevent us from moving forward in the things of God! Fear can pull us away from serving God. Fear can hinder and choke our spiritual growth. It will prevent us from witnessing and telling others about Jesus! Fear makes us an unfruitful and ineffective minister of the Lord Jesus. Fear builds walls and barriers between us and other people and destroys relationships. Fear can stop us from fulfilling God’s will in our lives. Fear will try to give us a helpless feeling that seems to overwhelm us until we are unable to cope with everyday life and everyday problems The spirit of fear will rob us of our peace, our joy and our happiness! Remember, God has not give us the spirit of fear, so where did it come from? (2 Tim 1:7) Do you see how fear can try to hinder us on our Christian journey? So...we MUST begin to cast every care, every concern and every fear on the Lord and allow Him to set us free from the spirit of fear. Dont you know He cares for us and He wants to perfect that thing concerning us?
