What conditions are you totally against turning horses out? We have 5 horses that go out together. A thick walker, thick QH, an old thin QH, thin 4 yr old OTTB and a super thick halflinger. They are all barefoot. I worry about the TB and old QH. The TB is dominant and the QH is low man. We pasture board them. The run in is small and all 5 cant go in. We have stalls but they prefer we only use them in emergency type situations. Ive never pasture boarded and feel guilty with this 15 degree weather we have. Should I? Ive got blankets on them but worry about a rough winter coming.
