What do You think? John and I watch the show Cops enough to see how a policeman can over react to the perp / crime that cop is going after. Ive studied people long enough to know that when we get a notion of superiority in our heads, many of us abuse it. This case was over done.... for suspicion ? of selling untaxed cigarettes ??? The death sentence he received was a bit much. The man didnt start the fight - watch the video... plus a total of 5 men against 1, pressing his body and head to the ground until they realized he was dead. It was ruled a homicide and I agree. These police didnt care about the man, the fact they could be wrong .... PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY .... but considered his size, never asked about his health problems that their actions might antagonize. I agree with the Ferguson verdict - any moron of a parent that allows - through ignorance or whatever- their child to carry a fake pistol or a real one has NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN when a policeman stops them or questions them and they pull out a toy or real gun and gets shot. At that moment in time, you have a smart alec kid and an all too real fear governing the subsequent actions. The parents an kid deserved what the got just on reason of sheer stupidity. However, this NYC situation is not the same thing. It wasnt just one policeman, it was several and if that is allowed REGARDLESS of being against the policemans code of conduct, then I believe that there should be some form of retribution.... aka punishment (since Christianity is all about reward & punishment) should be demanded. The policeman BROKE A LAW at least. To the family of this slain man, I send my deepest sympathy. The police are guilty in this case.
