What do you find annoying, and should there be a law to stop it? This is Dan Damon with World Update. Today well report on a new law going through the UK parliament that creates Ipnas - Injunctions to Prevent Nuisance and Annoyance. At the moment, courts can impose Anti-social Behaviour Orders, ASBOs, if it can be proved that someone is causing or threatening to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Under the new law, the only proof needed seems to be that someone is capable of causing nuisance or annoyance to any person - a much wider definition that some lawyers think means street preachers and buskers would be banned. Its being called a threat to personal liberty and free speech. What annoying things happen in the streets where you are? What about your neighbours - would you like a law to keep them under control? Should the government be bothering with this kind of thing?
