What does it mean for a man to have a final authority/responsibility for a household? I was listening to a radio show yesterday evening that spoke on this topic. Here is my sense on it. First, lets clarify one thing. A man is responsible, prophet, priest, provider, protector, and king. He is responsible for his actions and takes responsibility for those in his household. If the job does not get done, he is not afraid or incompetent of doing it himself. Also, he takes responsibility for every individuals wants, needs, and comments to make a decision that benefits the household as a unit. He keeps a vision to focus him, instead of allowing division to create a broken home. He is a king who can lead by example, impart wisdom, and stands firm on the word of GOD, even in uncomfortable times. For example, there is an illness facing a home. He is able to speak GODs Word over the situation which displays the prophetic/priest side. He does not move his faith from the situation which is really his confidence in Jesus faith. He seeks and/or finds remedies for the illness. He is humble enough to seek help (provider, and protector from his ego). He is able to stand firm on GODs promise until the manifestation of healing appears. He is a prophet who constantly speaks good over his children and mate even after a correction or challenge. He release GODs Word over every situation and allows the Holy Spirit to lead and to speak through him. He is a priest who has a relationship with GOD and leads the family in prayer to be an example of how to commune with GOD. He is a Holy Spirit lead man of GOD. Furthermore, he washes his wife with the water of the Word by speaking good confessions over her. He speaks over His children as well and teaches them how to apply GODs Word to every day situations. He also humble enough to seek wise counsel when he faces a situation with which he needs help. He provides an environment conducive for the love to be exchanged in the household. He helps with the necessities of the household and recognizes if he has to be the main bread winner how to live within a budget to keep the family from being subjected to instability in the living situation, i.e. keeps the family from being put-out, hungry, or without clothing. He protects the home not just from outside issues, but inside issues through prayer and speaking GODs Word over situations that could become dangerous for the household. Moreover, he protects the family from his shortcomings. He has learned to love himself enough to have emotional control which gives him enough peace to impart peace in the house. An unstable individual is not fit to lead. A woman who cannot submit to that is wack in my opinion. Thus, a mature man who does all this should be able to lead and have the final word; because he does not allow his emotions to rule him, but he allows GOD to rule him. https://youtube/watch?v=IwuO2dfqrF4
