What happened to me in a 24 hour period after my surgery no veteran....no patient....no human should EVER experience. If it werent for my 2 angels next to me (Bret Burdick & Padmaja RelangiBurdick), I cant even imagine what would have happened. Both deserve some type or reward. In a society where love is used loosely, these 2 people love me greatly. Not by one word they ever said, but by all the many things they did. As a certain law firm looks into my case, I want my experience not be about anger, but more so about: 1). Being a great family member and great spouse and how important it is to be there for a loved one. 2) How healthcare facilities have to NOT treat patients like they are on an assembly line but a human being. Think of a patient as your own loved one. 3). Show respect and dignity towards patients and their family members / loved ones.
