What if you knew that today was the last time you would ever see someone you love? How would you treat them? How would you want them to remember your last encounter? You would be gentle and kind, have compassion, respect and most likely be very generous. What if you knew today was your own last day on earth? What would be your legacy? How would you want to be remembered? Have you made your parents proud? Will your children carry your legacy with pride? Make today your beginning, treat everyone you meet as if you have known them your entire life and they mean something special to you. Extend to them all the respect, kindness, generosity and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again. Every single person that comes into your life, whether they stay or just pass through not only leaves a piece of themselves with you they also take something of you away from the encounter. A chance meeting with a total stranger on a crowded city street can change lives. There are two ways of being rich: One is to have all you want, the other is to be satisfied with what you have. Accept and appreciate things now, and you’ll find more happiness in every moment you live. Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have and offer thanks for all the troubles we don’t have.
