What is GIVING TUESDAY? We have a day for giving thanks. Then we have a global day dedicated to giving BACK. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. The idea for Giving Tuesday was first announced in October 2012. Seeing an opportunity to channel the generous spirit of the holiday season to inspire action around charitable giving a group of friends and partners, led by 92nd Street Y in New York City came together to find ways to promote and celebrate the great human tradition of giving. The Arlington Historical Society is another cause worthy of this effort. So please give generously, become a member, or volunteer. arlingtonhistoricalsociety.org/
