Giving Tuesday is a worldwide effort to encourage people to donate to their favorite charity on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. When Giving Tuesday was started in 2012, the goal was to celebrate the sense of community, generosity, and giving that is at the heart of the holidays. After all, the holiday season is the true season of giving. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give back.
