What is Youth and Sports Ministry? - is a government ministry that is responsible for determining the policies and direction in order to achieve the goals of Youth and Sports, in conformity with Malaysia’s commitment towards the United Nations. About: - It is started in 1953 (with the incorporation of the Culture Division under the Department of Public Welfare). They are responsible about all the matters regarding to the youth affairs in Malaysia. - This ministry was officially formed on 15th May in 1964 in conjunction with the National Youth Day celebration of that year. - In 1972, this ministry has changed its name to Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports due to the establishment of Culture Division. - In 1987, culture division was eventually relocated under the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism. Since then this ministry‘s name was reverted to its original name, until today known as Ministry of youth and Sports.
