What is a drop of rain compared to the storm? What is one’s act compare to a teamwork? Our unity is full of wonder in which individualism cannot even conceive. Rotaract Club of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS had organized Tying the Knot project to promote unity awareness among school students, locals and foreigners. This project is based on the idea of mural paintings on wall with a twist which was tying ribbons on fence to create logos and words. During this project, volunteers consisting of internationals and locals obtained the opportunities to work as a team, make new friends and integrated with the school students from SK Tronoh and SJK(T) Tronoh. We had tied -1Malaysia- Logo, to promote awareness among the school students about the importance of unity despite race, religion and colours. The different colours of ribbons used to tied the school’s name, too symbolize a motivation to emphasize on togetherness. The event was a great turnout. A passer-by commented and stopped by to support by tying the ribbons together. The volunteers and students were satisfied with the product and realized that teamwork and unity is important. “I enjoyed a lot with my new friends, I get to know better.
