As per sl constitution, tamils are not ethnic citizens. Srilanka is a buddist nation. Tamil is not oficial language. Tamils should score 90% while sinhalese should score nly 75%-80% to get seats in colleges. Tamils lands can be seized by srilankan govt. They can form sinhalese colonies in tamil majority areas and destablize tamil representation in parliment. Its all a written rule in Srilankan constitution. When british gave india and pakistan its independence, kashmir was a free state. Pakistan tried to occupy it. Fearing pakistan invasion, the king agreed to join india. India on UN made a promise, the state would be with special rights. India would win the heart of kashmiris before merging it completely into the nation. As per indian constitution, no other man can own a land except a kashmiri in kashmir. Tax exemptions and many other rights are gven to kashmiris. What happened with kashmir is there was no acting on kashmiri pandit mass killings in which 1000s of hindus were killed. What india made is implement special laws for militry tat gives it excuse from human rights violation. Many rapes and killing by army got covered up. India should hav punish the wrong doers. Their plight for referandum is no wrong. when india wasnt able to keep its promise it should pay d price. Thing is if it bcomes a separate nation, the muslim militants want it to be merged with pakistan. India fears its human r8s violation might make it lose d state incase of referandum. Tat is what u wl get for covering al these kilings. Had proper justice been providd, with tat many special rules for kashmiris, they would have 100% favored india. Now chance is 50-50%. Just bcoz u want a state to see at the top of india map, do u want ppl to be enslaved and killed and raped ?? Anyways tamils in lanka are in worst state than kashmir as they are slaves by their constitution.
