What is omitted from this article and the update is the source of the energy needed for this process to work. The process requires electricity; that should be obvious to anyone whos passed high-school chemistry with a decent grade. Where does the electricity come from? Burning coal or natural gas? Nuclear? Solar? What investment will be necessary to create the factories to run this process? Perhaps the reason no one noticed is that the process is in its earliest infancy, and there are no good answers yet to these important questions.
