What is the developing world? Can somebody explain that term? Does indigenous, as in non-western, equal underdeveloped (inferior)? Why do we accept the assumption that all civilizations are developing towards a more western (european) ideal and that all other forms of thought, culture, spirituality, and economics are inferior until they become modernized (europeanized)? Does anybody else see the european chauvinistic (white supremacist) undertone of this line of thinking and terminology? Thoughts???
