What is the new class offered called Nosework? Dogs 6 months and older will learn the basics of canine nose work. Nose work provides a chance for dogs to do what they do best: smell; and to do so on their own terms. All you do is tell them how wonderful they are and give lots of treats! This 6-week class will not meet on June 20 or July 4. By the end of the class, handlers should know enough to prepare for a basic ORT (odor recognition test). Please bring a 6’ leash and plenty of small-but-super-tasty treats (kibble? Snausage? Pupperoni? Charlie Bears? NO; cheese? hot dog pieces? pepperoni minis? YES! You get the idea; and approximately pinkie-fingernail-sized.)
