What is the role of National Assembly and when will they wake up to their legislative functions, is National Assembly a retiring ground for Governors who have completed their Eight years terms and there is nothing else to do, is legislative house a dumping ground for aggrieved big wigs of a political parties who needed compensations after their exploits in their party? If National Assembly has been doing what they ought to do, there wont be need to congregate another groups of people who will sit, sleep and do nothing and pretend to be solving national problems. . Legislation involves sponsoring bills, debating it, debating issues relating to the survival of the country, protecting the territorial integrity of the country, balancing and checkmating the excesses of the executive and putting policies, i mean good policies in place that are dynamics and definable and result oriented, the lists are endless and till today we have not got it right in terms of legislation and that is the area that can guarantee the survival of Nigeria.. Henceforth electorate should begin to send our best of the best to the National Assembly to enhance survival and productivity of Nigeria.
