What is the significance of a wedding ring? I have attended just a few wedding ceremonies, especially the church solemnization. I have seen couples exchange rings and mutter some words in the process; I give you this ring as my sing............. It always triggers my curiousity. Ive itched to ask but couldnt and dont know why. This is because most, if not all, the rings I have seen exchanged, are provided by the groom. If you are to give me a souvenir as your sign of whatever, am I suppose to buy the souvenir myself? I mean, does it really make sense when you say I give you and the item isnt really yours? What does exchange really mean? Its just a thought.
