What is the state of the union? We are divided in many ways but the parts can be put back into a whole nation that is the greatest nation ever. In order to do this we need to come together--the right and the left and work towards a common good that embraces the best of all us even with our flaws. All problems have solutions, they require the best that we have as a group of people who are immigrants, travelers, sojourners through this life. We have an opportunity to make this country amazing but it will require hard work, perhaps sacrifice and a willingness to accept that no one person, party or group has the answers for all of the problems. Look for the best to find the best. Work for excellence and restore the country to a standard of honesty and integrity that does not require a manual or training in ethics because we are adhering to the highest ethical codes possible in every circumstance. There is this possibility, can we as Americans accept and embrace this possibility. I believe so and I hope so.
