What kind of reader are you? Do you fly through a book or take it - TopicsExpress

What kind of reader are you? Do you fly through a book or take it slow? I LOVE stretching a good book and making it last... This morning, I just finished reading Above the Treetops by Jack Sacco (link to the book here: jacksacco) Perhaps its because I was moving to the South that I decided to take it slow, and allow the book to - metaphorically as well as thematically - put me in synch with the more relaxed pace of life in the land of balmy weather and sweet tea. But more likely its because Above the Treetops is written by a great storyteller about a great storyteller (William Faulkner) and there is just so much good stuff in there to really soak in - but as I was nearing the last few chapters, Id have to make myself to put the book down. I wanted my journey with this book to last another day... and another... and another... before it would come to the end... I was really lucky to interview Jack for my show Waking Up In America. Apart from being a Pulitzer Prize nominated author and an inspiring composer, Jack is a really cool, fun and very insightful gentleman. Enjoy the episode and then curl up with one of his books (you can have it instantly available on your Kindle). youtu.be/BJs0hD3AWeQ?list=UUAPId9nmaSGaIz91ZzjlNag
