What more can I say.... with Charlie Rose. Another feeble attempt - TopicsExpress

What more can I say.... with Charlie Rose. Another feeble attempt to lend some balance in what fundamentally is a close-minded talking head environment wherein U.S.-China relations are not discussed in a straight-forward, non-nonsense, downright rational, no-holds-barred manner. Once again, Charlie Rose got himself a token Chinese as a sidekick in Cheng Li, which did not add much to the conversation. How I wish they would invite a more articulate Eric X Li, one of the most articulate Chinese public intellectual, based in Shanghai, to really level with the American audience. No.... U.S.-China relations today is not on a good plane...... it is getting acrimonious...... it does not bode well on a whole host of issues which are contentious and are on a collision course. And yes, Obamas Asia Pivot, ipse-facto a China Encirclement-Containment Policy which was retrieved and resurrected from the Cold War era from the attic of the late George Kennan and as pushed by the Dulles Brothers, is not something that the Chinese leadership, nor the Chinese public and masses, will take kindly to, and play nicey-nicey to. It is not just respect that China wants.... but put bluntly, China wants America and the Britain to butt out of Chinas internal affairs, and stop meddling in Asia, and to stop stoking and fanning regime change and scheme/plot/machinate for the overthrow of the CCP and its model of governance under Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Liberal democracy, Western-style, is not acceptable to China. Comprende? Ne Comprende Pas? And until Pax Americana and Fading Britannia stop that, the ugliness will worsen.
